Your Perfect Everyday Foundation!

I don't know about you ladies but when I am trying to get out the door I can barely get up at my first alarm clock, let alone spend an our on my make up. However, I was certainly not born with such perfect skin that I can always skimp out on my make up! I have literally tried everything under the sun when it comes to foundations. BB creams, CC creams, Dior, Laura Mercier silk creme, stila all day makeup, every MAC foundation ever made, MUF, bare minerals you name it I've tried it. And while many of these are great foundations, they require some effort. I went into a local beauty store in the village I live in and told her I needed something that would give me buildable natural coverage, was light weight, had sunscreen, AND could be applied quickly with my fingers if need be. So needless to say I had a tall order to fill. The make-up artist said boy do I have something for you!

There are so many things I love about this foundation. The first is that it is so thin, it is truly a liquid and when you apply it you feel like you are applying liquid silk to your face, and who doesn't love that!! It gave me great natural coverage even when I applied it with my fingers. If I have more time it works beautifully with my Sigma flat topped kabuki brush. I would recommend this make up for all skin types. I have combination-oily skin and it lasted a solid 8 hours before I noticed any shine, and did not break me out at all. My one negative comment would be that you must set this foundation with a powder. Oh! and did I mention it has an SPF of 15 which is an added bonus. This is by far the most expensive foundation I've ever purchased ($64! AH!) but for someone with such fussy skin this foundation is so worth it to me, also keep in mind a little goes a very long way!

my holy grail skin care line

So, it's only natural that my first post is on my favorite skin care line, Eminence Organic Skin Care. I have struggled with acne since I was 12 and have literally tried EVERY product under the sun, so when I rant and rave about a product you know it's good!
I am not going to lie to you but it is definitely a pricey brand, especially for a college grad on a budget! However, I am a big believer that your make up is only good as the skin you apply it to! Ultimately at the end of the day the health of your skin is what's most important. Anyway back to Eminence!

Eminence is an all natural and organic skin care line based out of Hungary and used at many high end spas. And let me tell you I have had a facial with these products (which is what got me hooked in the first place) and you leave with your skin absolutely glowing! Pictured above are my favorite products from the line.

• Stone Crop Gel Wash
• This is an amazing wash that will leave your skin clean, but hydrated! Yes, oily girls I said hydrated! For the longest time because I have such acne prone skin I have feared the word "hydration" in any product. Your skin needs hydration, otherwise your skin will produce more of its own natural oils to compensate leaving you with zits, and no one likes that!

• Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafolient
• This is amazing for getting deep down into those pores! It is gentle and will not be too abrasive on your skin. I do not want to know where my skin would be without this product. I use it three times a week religiously. It is actually a powder and you can either add water or your cleanser of choice to give it a paste like consistency.

• Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum
• This serum is absolutely wonderful for those with combination skin like me! I use it day and night right before my moisturizer to bring a healthy brightness back into my face. This is also one of their top ten products!!!

• Sugar Plum Oil-Free Revitalizer
• Ok, my oily girls! This will be your life saver because it was for me. This is the first moisturizer that balances my skin giving it the perfect amount of moisture without clogging my pores. And it's oil free, and who doesn't love that?!
